it's thursday

So it is offically thursday, which is always an exciting day for me. :) I am only in school Monday through Wednesday...which means I have a 4 day weekend! :) I absolutely love it. Joel is home with me today which is never usually the case, but he is not feeling well, which is not a good thing. But I least I get to visit with him for a while.

Tonight, our friend Jordan Kemper is coming over for dinner and hang out which should be fun. :) We hardly ever get people out here to our apartment because we live so far out in the boondocks. I hope he likes our apartment...which I am sure he will...but it can get kind of boring out here. Either way, we are excited to have him out here and I absolutley love having visitors.

We also get to go down into the city this weekend to spend some time with Joel's Aunt/Uncle, and cousins. We are all going out to dinner which should be a lot of fun. Again, we hardly get to see a lot of people especially our families so it is great when we can. :)

new at this

Hey ya'll!

So I decided now would be a good time to try one of these things...considering Joel and I can't catch up with everyone as much as we would like. Considering we are both in classes now, and trying not to go crazy with all of the commuting we are doing, hopefully this will be a good way to keep up on life. Because as we all know, life is chaos....

Today is valentine's day...always an interesting day. Last night when I came home, my wonderful husband suprised me with a dozen red roses...they are beauitful! Oh, and a box of chocolates...they taste fabulous! It just reminds me of what an amazing man he is! I can't wait to give him the gift I made for him...I think he will really like and appreciate it.

Exciting news for Joel though, this past weekend he was inducted into one of the top players for the past decade for basketball. How amazing is that?! Sometimes I just wish I could have seen him during that time in his life. I know he would NEVER talk him self up when it comes to basketball...but I will! I can, I am his wife. :) This weekend though, we are going to the Wheaton Alumni game and I will get at least a small glimmer of what it used to be like for him. I can't wait!

I will try my hardest to make sure I post every week or so...cross your fingers :)
