So YEAH!!! I am VERY excited that it is Tuesday right now...Monday is done with and the rest of the week is down hill.
My parents came to our place over the past weekend and it was AWESOME!! We were able to hang out with the extended family a little, we went to the Shedd Aquarium and Cheesecake Factory on Saturday in downtown Chicago, and we went to Heartland and heard an AMAZING word on Sunday!!! It was busy, but SO much fun!! My Grandma was able to come with them, but unfortunately we were not able to spend much time with her. We only have a 2 bedroom apartment, so we did not really have anywhere for her to sleep. :( But that's alright, she got to spend some time with my Uncle, Aunt, and cousin which she was happy about. :)
Joel is doing well also, he has his final test of the year coming up in about 2 weeks and then some other comprehensive tests following that. And he is definitely preparing for Boards in June...which is obviously keeping him busy. But not too busy, so we can't do fun things! :)
This Friday we are going to start looking for a place to move this summer, which is always interesting...it seems as though we have quite a few options, we just do not really want to live in an apartment again. So hopefully, we can find some good prices on a townhouse, condo, or even a house for rent. Who knows...so many things up in the air at this point. I guess we have gotten used to be at that stage in our lives where we don't know what else to expect, so we are at peace with the here and now. :)
I also need to rant a little today...sorry for those of you who don't want to read it...you don't have to. Most of us would say that in our lives and relationships, we want truthfulness, authenticity, and something real. However, it seems as though when the rubber hits the road nobody truly wants that kind of relationship. So, I just want to say that I am getting very sick of being in the minority who actually practice what they preach. Especially in the Christian community and in our families. We are called to be that with one another and yet again, no one REALLY truly wants that. Most of the time people want to hear good things, or things they already know. I am just sick of it...I love each and every one you...family and friends alike. But by now, you should know that this is me. And if you want a true friendship or relationship, you are going to get the truth and that sometimes does hurt. ok, sorry again for the rant...I just needed to get that off of my chest.
